It opened on September 10, 2020 as the gateway to the new capital city. The exterior features Japanese architecture with a large roof resembling waves or a ship's sail, deep, warped eaves, and balconies surrounding the building on all sides.
It serves as a tourist hub for visitors from all over the world who come to Tokyo to enjoy the diverse cultural, entertainment, and dining resources that the city has to offer.
In addition, the building is equipped with conference and VIP rooms, and most of the furniture is movable, allowing for flexible use according to the type of event. The 3,000 m2 multipurpose area overlooking the Port of Tokyo has hosted a variety of events, including fashion shows.
