About Yurikamome

Facts

  • Major transportation line linking the city and Odaiba/Toyosu areas.
  • Runs approximately every five minutes on weekdays and every four minutes on weekends.
  • Trains are operated automatically and stations are unmanned (Shimbashi, Ariake, and Toyosu stations have full-time station staff on site.)
  • The journey from the first station (U01 Shimbashi) to the last station (U16 Toyosu) takes approximately 30 minutes.
  • Crowded hours are from 7:00 to 9:00 in the morning and from 17:00 to 20:00 in the evening.
  • The first train starts around 5:00 am and the last train ends around 24:00 midnight.
  • All stations are wheelchair accessible, complete with elevators and multi-functional restrooms.

Since opening in November 1995, Yurikamome has served as a means of transportation linking the city center with the waterfront subcenter for those living or working in this area as well as its visitors.
Yurikamome will continue efforts to provide safe, secure and comfortable transportation services loved and used by visitors and those living along the line.

Notes on use

Yurikamome stations other than Shimbashi Station, Ariake, and Toyosu station are basically unmanned.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Should you require assistance at the station or on the train or have questions or concerns, please use the intercom to contact our staff.

How to buy a ticket

Check the route map and fare

To take the Yurikamome Line, please purchase a ticket or transportation IC Card from the ticket machine.
Please find the fare to your destination from the fare chart located above the ticket machine.

Using the ticket machine

Tap the English button at the upper right corner of the ticket machine to switch languages.
Touch the button displaying the fare to your destination and wait for the purchase screen to be displayed.
Place the fare in the ticket machine and collect your ticket.

Transportation IC Card can be used

  • Press the "English" button to switch languages.
  • Touching the button displaying the fare to your destination switches the screen.
  • When the purchase screen appears, place the amount required in the ticket machine.
  • You can use both bills and coins.
  • Once you place money into the machine, the ticket machine issues the ticket and returns change (if any).

How to enter ticket gate

Insert the ticket into the ticket gate slot above the green arrow on the right side of the ticket gate.
Pass the gate and collect the ticket coming out from the slot on the right side of the exit.

  • Please collect the ticket.
For passengers using the transportation IC Card

Hold the transportation IC Card over the panel on the right side of the gate.
The amount required will automatically be deducted and the gate will open.

When the train arrives, the doors will open automatically. Wait for everyone to get off first before boarding.

How to get off the train

Getting off the train

The next stop is displayed on the monitors in the train. Get off the train at your destination.

If you get off at a station that costs more than the ticket you purchased, please pay the additional fare at the Fare Adjustment machine near the ticket gate.

FAQ

Children in elementary school from age 6 to 12 are eligible for child fare.
The fare classification is as follows.

0-year-old (infant) •••Free
1 to 5 years old (infant) ... Free up to 2 children per adult or child. Child Fare applies to third child per adult or child. Child Fare applies when taking the train alone.
6 to 11 years of age (children) ... Prer-elementary school children who are 6 years of age before entering elementary school are considered children. Child Fare (Half price of adult fare, rounded up the fraction below 10 yen)
12 years old or older (adults) ... 12-years old elementary school children are considered children.

Coupon tickets/Round-Trip Passenger Tickets are sold at the ticket machine at the station. ※ Coupon tickets are a set of 12 tickets, costing ten times the average fare of one way journeys. (The same applies to children: Set of 12 tickets costing 10 times the amount of child fare.)

There are no round-trip ticket discounts.

Yes, they are sold at the ticket machines at stations.
The Shimbashi and Toyosu station offices also sell advanced tickets (valid for about 6 months).

(1) For Regular Tickets, if the ticket has not been used and is within the valid duration or the day before, we will issue a refund for the paid fare. However, you will be charged a handling fee of 190 yen per ticket
(2) The One-Day Pass will be refunded if it is unused within the valid date. Handling fee of ¥220 will be charged.
(3) Same as (1) for unused round-trip tickets.
(4) Commuter pass can be refunded up to the day before the first day of the valid period and bulk tickets which have not been used like for Regular Tickets. However, handling fee of ¥220 will be charged.(The bulk tickets comprise of 12 tickets.)

If you pressed the wrong destination of number of persons on the ticket machine, as long as the ticket has not been used and only on the day of the purchase, you can insert the ticket back into the machine and the machine will refund the price of the ticket from the slot returning change
With the blue side (side with the price printed) of the ticket facing up, insert the ticket into the ticket issue slot (the slot from which the ticket came out) and the the machine will refund the price of the ticket from the slot returning change

Unused leftover Coupon tickets can be refunded. The refund amount is the balance after deducting the regular passenger fare for used tickets from the amount purchased for (fare passengers making several trips). Handling fee of ¥220 will be charged.
※ If five tickets have been used out of Coupon tickets worth 3,200 yen: 3,200-(320×5)=1,600
1,600-220 (handling fee) = ¥1,380 (refund)

For items which you think will not pose as an obstacle to transportation, the maximum sum on the three sides must be less than 250 centimeters, and you can bring up to two if they weigh less than 30 kilograms. However, you cannot bring anything over 2 meters long.
Items that are dangerous and may harm other passengers, such as fireplace, stove,corpses, animals and objects damaging train cars, and unclean or smelly items which may cause inconvenience to other passengers are prohibited.
※ Since April 28th, 2016, there has been a partial change in the rules for hand-held items that cannot be brought into train cars. Click here for examples of specific items.

Bicycles which can be placed completely in a bike bag measuring up to 2 meters long can be brought onto trains free of charge.
However, passengers may not be allowed to do so when the train is crowded in some cases. Thank you for your understanding.
Passngers with bicycles are also asked to give consideration to other passengers in stations.
